Whether for a performance, lecture, artist conversation, or film, the Visual Arts Center invites the public to activate our space while energetically discovering fresh perspectives in contemporary art. Through auxiliary programming, the creative community at large is encouraged to intersect with the visual arts in unexpected and inspired ways.

Art in Practice
Art in Practice is a lecture series that provides insight into the professional art world. Representing diverse career paths and locales, prominent members of the creative community share their successes and challenges, shedding light on what it means to be a professional in the multifaceted field of contemporary art.
Focus Group is an experimental film screening series introducing visitors to seminal filmmakers and their contemporary counterparts. Accompanied by presentations from film aficionados, the screenings stimulate conversation about experimental film and its various formats.
Sound + Vision
Sound + Vision presents experiments in sound, video, and performance. Designed in collaboration with contemporary artists, each program provides multisensory experiences through the pairing of visual art and non-traditional media.
