First Light Books is delighted to host art historian and UT alum Katie Anania to discuss her new book, Out of Paper: Drawing, Environment, and the Body in 1960s America. A dynamic look at how artists used paper to radically redefine the relationship between the body and its surroundings, Anania's book moves across mediums and methodologies to cement the role of paper in postwar American art. Anania received her PhD from the Department of Art and Art History at UT Austin in 2016. Anania will be in conversation with Dr. Eddie Chambers, Professor of Art History at UT Austin.

This event is co-sponsored by First Light Books and the Visual Arts Center.
