Advanced Performance students will activate Carmen Argote’s site-specific installation at the VAC through a series of original performances in response to Argote’s work. These participatory experiences have been made in response to Argote's work, and all are related to, informed by, or critical of various systems of labor. In the performances, students will lead demos, make paper, guide tours, invite imbibing, and more to discuss textile production, consumerism, physical and ephemeral data, and production.

Carmen Argote: Me At Market is on view January 24 – March 6, 2020.
