Artist Tsedaye Makonnen and curator Andrea Achi (Mary and Michael Jaharis Associate Curator of Byzantine Art at The Met) engage in a moderated conversation. The two will discuss Makonnen’s work on view in If we are here ..., as well as Achi’s exhibition Africa & Byzantium, now on view at The Met, with an eye to the ways African Diaspora invites us to think across space and time.
