Heddatron (By Elizabeth Meriwether): A Staged Reading
Directed by Khristián Méndez Aguirre
This play explores the limits between humans and robots: the strange lines that divide them, and the desire for purpose that might unite them. It also draws parallels between the kinds of gender-based consciousness attained by Henrik Ibsen’s women characters in the late 1800s and our collective fears of a Singularity that may or may not happen.
The reading will be followed by a short discussion and viewing of the exhibition A Well-trained Eye.
