Lais Myrrha (b. 1974, Belo Horizonte, Brazil) lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. She earned her MA in Visual Arts (2007) and is pursuing a PhD in Visual Arts at the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais. She has had solo exhibitions at Galeria Millan, São Paulo (2023); Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (2021); Blanton Museum of Art, Austin (2017); Galeria Athena Contemporânea, Rio de Janeiro (2017); Broadway 1602, New York (2017); Sesc Bom Retiro, São Paulo (2017); among others. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves, Porto, (2022); Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo (2022); Centro Cultural Maria Antônia- USP, São Paulo (2022); Galleria Ron Manos, Amsterdam (2020); Museu de Arte do Rio, Rio de Janeiro (2020); Bienal de La Habana (2019); Palácio das Artes, Belo Horizonte (2019); Sala de Arte Santander, Madrid (2019); Gwangju Biennale (2018); Museu de Arte de São Paulo (2017); Bienal de São Paulo (2016), Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (2017); and Bienal do Mercosul, Porto Alegre (2011); among others. She received the Honor Award for Art and Heritage from Paço Imperial, Rio de Janeiro (2013), Funarte Scholarship to Stimulate Visual Arts Production (2012), and Pampulha Scholarship from the Museu de Arte Pampulha, Belo Horizonte (2003). She was in residence at IASPIS (International Artist Studio Programme in Stockholm) in 2022.
