Victoria Williams was born and raised in Rockwall, Texas. She currently lives in Austin, where she is pursuing her BFA in Studio Art at The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to her formal artistic training, she also teaches herself new techniques, such as ceramics and calligraphy, outside of the classroom. Williams’ work explores the balance between life and death, and the simple beauty in this balance. In such a loud and busy world, the simplest exchange of life and death can seem fascinating, a distraction from daily life. She best captures these scenes with ink and pen as a way to focus on the fine details.
